Credentials
After leaving the US Marine Corps where she specialized in cryptologic warfare intelligence, Dr. Hafele earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Oklahoma State University in 1995. She earned her Master’s and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Louisiana State University, and completed her clinical residency at the Medical College of Georgia in 2000. She has additional training in Trauma, Sleep, Critical Incident Stress Management, Complex Conflict Mediation, and Organizational Dynamics. She is licensed in GA.

Experience

Approach

A USMC veteran, Dr. Hafele’s therapeutic approach is characterized by a pragmatic communication style. Trained in CBT and traditional Behavioral approaches, she also incorporates narrative and collaborative approaches to therapy. Clients find her approachable and down to Earth. Her focus is on processing the emotional components and developing a plan for positive change.

Background

Dr. Hafele was raised in the heart of Cajun Country in Louisiana and continues to value her rich heritage. She served as an active duty US Marine and continues to be involved in the veteran community. She is married and is proud to be a mother to daughters and rowdy German Shepherds. Passions include music, reading, cooking, crafts, Detroit Red Wings Hockey, travel, and scuba.
